I'm ZOE-X — producer, DJ, and the entire operation behind New York City Hard Dance Records. I started this label for one reason: hard dance deserves a home in New York City. I run it all myself — the music, the artists, the artwork, the promotion. Independent to the core.

Where the logo comes from

The label's mark is my rework of the MTA subway logo. I took that badge — pure New York history — and manufactured it into what it is now: NYCHD.

It had to be the subway. I came up on those trains — all night, running the streets, graffiti, hanging out, raving, DJing, up and down the lines. The MTA marks changed over the years, from the old ones to today's, and I took that whole lineage and made it ours.

Look close at the letters — N-Y-C-H-D. Each one sits in its own subway line bullet, repping the train lines. The logo doesn't just come from New York. It IS New York.

The artists

The producers on this label make their own tracks and their own cover art — every release is fully theirs, from the first kick to the final visual. And they love this label as much as I do. They're not just names on a roster. They're a pillar of its foundation. NYCHD is all of us.
